I've had a poorly little boy to look after for the past few days (although he seems to be back on top form now that the antibiotics have kicked in). As he was spending lots of time snuggled up in bed or on the settee, it was the perfect time for Zapf Creation to send us through two of their new cuddly, lovable sleeping friends to review.
First up was the My First Baby Annabell Cuddly Sleeping Lamb (RRP £19.99). We've been looking out for springtime baby lambs in the fields so Pierre was very happy to have one of his own to snuggle up to at bedtime !
He's very cute and incredibly soft and the age restriction is 0+ so he could be your child's snuggly nighttime friend from any age. When you push the star on his tummy, it lights up and sets off a short lullaby, along with some cute baahing noises.
The sheep noises are identical to those on the Tiny Sheep app that the Madhouse kids like to play with on the ipad so that made them laugh. It's a lovely toy, although in terms of marketing, I think it's a mistake to make it pink without providing a blue option or a neutral beige or green one for the traditionalists !
This wasn't a problem for Pierre though, as was proven when he discovered the second toy, a my little BABY born First Love Nightfriend (RRP £17.99). He's always had his big sisters' toys around him so was totally unfazed by the fact that it's very pink !
She is another extremely soft and totally cuddly toy (just the right size for a toddler at 30cm) which is suitable for children from birth upwards.
If you push on the heart on her tummy, it lights up and changes colour, revealing a cute bear picture.
It also has a soothing lullaby, perfect for helping young children get to sleep. We all thought they were both lovely, especially as they are so soft and snuggly. Pierre has decided that he'll keep the sleeping lamb but pass the First Love on to his cousin because "dolls are for girls and it's pink" !
Night night Pierre !
