Kids' drawing competition from Anorak Magazine - Draw us a happy cover. Please.

Here at The Madhouse, we absolutely love Anorak, "the happy mag for kids". We've reviewed their magazine (here), their activity book (here), their story book (here) and their Food Is Fun book (here). And now we're back to tell you about a fab competition they're running, to celebrate their fifth anniversary in September. It's a drawing competition for the under 13's so I'm sure it'll appeal to all you arts and craftsy-type mums (including me !). Good luck if you enter and read on for more info :

Can you believe that in September, Anorak will be celebrating its 5th anniversary!!

Mad, isn't it? Let's be honest, we couldn't have survived without YOU, our wonderful army of happy fans and 'little editors' around the globe who draw happy things, write happy stories and review books for us. So, to celebrate this momentous occasion, we have decided that our issue will be made entirely by YOU!! A happy issue made by our happy friends, HOOORAY

Open to all kids around the world, we are giving you the opportunity to come up with a happy design for the cover of the 5th anniversary issue of Anorak magazine. The cover must contain the following words: ‘Anorak the happy mag for kids’ and must be fun. Anything else, we leave up to your imagination and undoubtedly mind-boggling doodling skills.

What do you win? The first prize will see their cover as our Anorak cover!! Imagine that, YOUR drawing could potentially be THE cover of Anorak!

We will also pick runners-up prizes to win Anorak subscriptions.

Are you eligible?

To be eligible for this competition, you must be aged 13 and under. You can enrol your class/school to take part too.

  3. Drawing for kids is a wonderful and creative activity that not only entertains but also nurtures a child's imagination and fine motor skills. It's a means for young minds to express themselves, explore their ideas, and bring their fantasies to life on paper. Whether it's using colorful crayons, markers, or paint, drawing allows children to experiment with shapes, colors, and textures while developing their cognitive abilities. Moreover, it encourages self-confidence and can be a source of pride when they see their creations come to fruition. Drawing for kids is a gateway to a world of endless possibilities, fostering a love for art and helping them communicate their thoughts and emotions in a unique and delightful way.
