What's Cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 2019 week #48

I can't believe we're heading into December next week - everything is going so fast, I can't keep up ! The end of term meetings are kicking off so I'll need something quick and simple for Thursday and Friday nights. I'm loving the slow cooker meals as it's great to have something warming, ready and waiting for us at the end of the day.

lunch - roast chicken, gratin dauphinois and carrots - special request from Sophie, as she's over for the day with my family

dinner -  sandwiches, toast, soup ... something along those lines. Or leftovers from lunch if someone wants them.

dinner - leftover chicken if there is some - mixed up with gravy & veggies, served with pasta

dinner - spaghetti bolognese

lunch - chicken burgers with rice and veg - or I may stick them in buns with salad & tomatoes and serve them with chips. We'll see !

dinner - cottage pie

dinner - pepperoni pizza, ready to stick in the oven, in case the kids get hungry before the end of my meeting

dinner - beef stew in the slow cooker, with rice (and veg in the stew)

lunch - our regular Saturday lunchtime fast food trip ! Probably McDonalds as usual.

dinner - there should be some leftovers from yesterday

  1. This year has flown over. I can't beleive it's December in a few days. Eek!
All of your meals sound so good. I could just eat the beef stew now. I never think of having it with rice. I must try that. x

  2. Scrumptious winter warmers - beec stew us always a winner

  3. Sounds like a nice week of dinners for you. I'm so happy the cooler weather is here as I love all the warming stodgy food!

  4. Dauphinois is a heavenly dish - one of my favourites. It's so comforting, isn't it?
