If you've got preschoolers at home, you can't have missed the latest kids' TV phenomenon that is Everything’s Rosie. The show is fast becoming one of the biggest hits on CBeebies, with over 5 million viewers per episode and the BBC investing millions into future series.
And I have to say, I can perfectly understand why it is so popular. As soon as 2-year-old Pierre, but also 6-year-old Juliette, see Everything's Rosie starting, they instantly settle down on the settee to watch and remain mesmerised throughout the whole programme. (I meanwhile wander off into the kitchen and spend the next two hours humming the incredibly catchy theme tune !)
The Madhouse Mini-testers were therefore over the moon when we received a review disc of ‘Everything’s Rosie – Greatest Show in the Garden’, the brand new DVD that will be released next week (on 6th February).
The DVD comprises 13 episodes - that's over 2 hours of viewing ! - featuring a whole host of adventures and learning experiences for the bubbly, positive-thinking Rosie and her band of friends. It's a really upbeat show with great morals for pre-schoolers, such as working together to overcome problems and being kind to your friends.
I like the way Rosie's friends - Raggles, Big Bear, Blue Bird, Holly, Will and Oakley - are all totally different too, teaching kids about diversity and tolerance. They may make mistakes and get things wrong but by working together and putting others first, they sort it all out in the end. It's a really feel-good, cheerful, positive programme that kids and parents can enjoy together.
Keep your eyes peeled for a giveaway right here on this blog where you will be able to win 2 copies of the DVD.
