You may remember last year, we reviewed BFree wraps, which are not just low in fat and high in fibre but also great tasting. Each wrap only contains 99 calories so if you pack them with salad, tomatoes, cucumber and ham or chicken, they make a great low fat, healthy lunch.
They'll be a great ally in a couple of weeks (eeek, how can it only be a fortnight away ?!) when we're all trying to find innovative ways of using up the leftover turkey. They're great as cold salad-filled wraps but if you fancy a hot option, add spices, peppers and onions and go for fajitas instead. (They must have read my mind because they also have a fajita kit available now.)
2014 has been the year that veganism well and truly entered the mainstream market, with celebrities such as Jay Z and Beyoncé adopting a vegan lifestyle and an estimated 150,000 people in the UK now choosing a vegan lifestyle. There has never been a more important time for a bakery brand to bring out an entirely vegan range, so BFree have stepped up to the mark and announced the news that all its range is to become vegan friendly, with the launch of an egg free loaf into UK supermarkets. After numerous taste tests and a lot of research, the team at BFree promise that they have developed the perfect vegan loaf, which actually tastes like bread and not cake! The nutritional profile has also greatly improved with fat below 1g per slice. Great news in advance of the inevitable New Year's resolutions !
The BFree vegan friendly range will now include Soft White Sandwich Loaf, Brown Seeded Sandwich Loaf, Brown Seeded Rolls and Soft White Rolls and is available from Tesco Express stores nationwide and selected ASDA stores with a RRP of £2.20 - £2.80.
