What's Cooking At The Madhouse ? menu plan week 33

Last week was soooooo crazily hot that I didn't cook everything that was on the plan. On some days, we settled for sandwiches or nibbles because nobody felt like eating anything much and I certainly didn't feel like cooking either. We also went out for a meal for Sophie's birthday. But next week, I think I'll plan quick and simple meals that will work however hot it is !

Monday

lunch- Potato-bacon hash (using this recipe) & peppers stuffed with sausage meat (for those who want them)

dinner - Cannelloni (didn't get made last week)

Tuesday

lunch-  Baked ham with mash & green beans

dinner- Probably lots of leftovers to use up

Wednesday

lunch- Spaghetti carbonara

dinner- Tartiflette - really not summer food but a special request from Sophie ! Potatoes, bacon, onions and stinky cheese, baked in the oven.

Thursday

lunch- Probably more leftovers

dinner-  Risotto with ... chicken & broccoli maybe?

Friday

lunch- Pasta with bacon, onion, tomato, peppers (probably, depending on what's in the fridge)

dinner - Hash browns (this is a Sophie request but they'll have to be homemade so it's dependent on her helping !) with hot dog sausages & eggs

Saturday

lunch- I'll let the kids choose - maybe McDonald's, or kebabs, or just something simple at home - we'll see !

dinner- Avocado on toast with sesame seeds and a poached egg on top - this is a Sophie request, so Juliette & Pierre can have leftovers or chicken nuggets !

Sunday

lunch- chicken stir fry with loads of veg & noodles & pad thai sauce

dinner- fridge grazing or garlic bread or toast

  3. It was hard to cook last week with it being so hot. I am glad it's cooled down a little now.
Great meal plan! I love the sound of the hash browns, hot dogs and eggs. So simple but so good x
