Well, I thought I'd had a reasonable week but the scales say otherwise - I've had a gain for the second week running. 700g too which is quite a biggie. Even more depressing is that it means my "to lose" badge has gone back to being quite a bit higher than my "weight lost" badge. It's not all doom and gloom though - I've been trialling Lunaling capri pants and have actually lost 1cm all over (waist, hips, thighs). That's from a normal week at work with no time to do proper exercise (they did make me get sweaty while doing the vacuuming though !). I'm now on holiday for two weeks and, while I know lots of people have been saying that's been catastrophic for their diets because they've been constantly close to the biscuit tin/Easter egg stash, I'm hoping it will give me plenty of time for long walks, fitness DVDs and cooking with loads of fresh fruit and veg.
Positives of the week
- I used FatSecret calorie tracker most days and come in under my 1800 calorie target pretty much every day. Now that I'm at home on holiday and no longer subject to the whims of the school canteen chef, I should be able to cut quite a few calories out of my intake.
- Big surprise of the week - the LunaLing Capri pants actually seem to work ! I may have put on weight but I actually lost 1cm all over which is what I need to focus on.
- I tried on some old clothes that I couldn't fit into and now I can :)
This week's targets
Last week's target was : Wear the magic capri pants every day ! (Tick.) Keep tracking calories to spot the hidden nasties (often at the canteen) and track inch loss for motivation. (Tick and tick.) Try to get my badge back to "14kg lost" which is what it said last week. (Sobs - definitely not a tick, it's down to 12 now.) This is the last week at work before a fortnight off so I shall try to fit loads of exercise in with the kids from next week. (Feeling positive so hopefully a tick next week.)
This week's target is : - Eat loads of veggies and salad with every meal. Keep wearing the Lunaling Capri pants. Fit in some form of exercise every day - long walk with the kids, running around at the park, exercise DVD, strenuous cleaning session. Go back to drinking lots of water - the diet coke seems to have sneaked back in. Listen to the Slimpod a few times. A loss - don't care how big or small but I need to stop the downward slide of the last two weeks.
