Globecooking recipe : Teukolok (Cambodia)

Behind this exotic-sounding name is basically a Cambodian smoothie. It was such a hit with the kids that I've promised we'll keep the smoothie-maker out and make smoothies a regular part of breakfast during the holidays. This used one ingredient from the Cambodian Kitchen Trotter box - guava flavouring - but you could leave it out or replace it with something else (vanilla, cinnamon, elderflower cordial, lemon essence, ...)

 Teukolok

ingredients :

600g bananas
25cl sweetened condensed milk
juice of half a lime
80cl water (I used coconut water)
a dozen ice cubes
a few drops of guava essence (optional)

Put the bananas in a blender with the condensed milk, lime juice, water and guava essence. Blitz for 1 minute.

Add the ice cubes and give it a quick whizz.

Big smiles all round !
