Back to a normal week with no late nights at work so it's time for some proper, from scratch home-cooking :)
Saturday
lunch - a Dunkirk delicacy : potjevleesch, chips and salad - the kids aren't keen on potjevleesch so they will have another local dish instead, fricadelles which are slightly spicy chicken sausages.
dinner - the kofta that I planned on cooking last week and never got round to - with couscous and tomato salad
Sunday
lunch - my mum, dad and sister are coming over for the day and it should be nice weather so we're thinking it's time to break out the barbecue :) I'll need to knock up some tuna potato salad, coleslaw and maybe some oven roasted veggies too.
dinner - just a sandwich or some of Madhouse Daddy's soup, if he fancies making some
Monday
dinner - there should be some leftover barbecue, with rice and homemade coleslaw
Tuesday
dinner - the whole family loved the Cheesy Bacon, Leek & Mushroom Quiche that I made and asked me to make another one - that's fine by me as it's such a simple dish to make
Wednesday
lunch - beefburgers and spaghetti with ratatouille
dinner - Mediterranean chicken with courgettes, red peppers and onions
Thursday
dinner - white fish with Laughing Cow cheese sauce, broccoli and boiled baby potatoes
Friday
dinner - something in the slow cooker with stewing beef, carrots, mushrooms, onions and maybe turnips
I have never heard of this Dunkirk speciality, can't spell it, lol. Is it spicy?
ReplyDeleteA lovely menu as always.
I was just thinking I should post the recipe ... coming right up ! :)
