As you'll know, if you're a regular follower of my blog, we love playing video games and we also love cooking here at The Madhouse. The idea of actually cooking some of the recipes from a video game therefore had me intrigued and watching the video (especially when he actually tastes his vile concoction at the end) had me in hysterics !
As games website Gamespot UK explain : "The latest role playing adventure game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, contains its own cookbook: Uncommon Tastes. The book pops up at various points on screen, when players are not too busy defeating the Nordic dragon god Alduin. GameSpot UK wanted to give the game a really thorough review so one of their reporters, Johnny Chiodini, decided to try and make Potage Le Magnifique, a recipe found in the game. Despite having to cut an onion with his teeth, and taste the final dish (not nice!), Johnny has not been disheartened and will attempt the game’s cheese soufflĂ© next week."
Glad to see a fellow reviewer with such dedication !!

I wanted to let you know that nutmeg is poisonous in any real quantities. The souffle recipe in the game calls for a cup of it. That would be a terrible, painful dish to ingest.
