Moshi Monsters Clay Buddies are the new pocket money toy/collectible from E-Max and the girls were over the moon when they got one each to test. The fact that they come in a foil pack so you don't know which one you'll get until you open it just added to the excitement. This will mean that you'll have to spend an awful lot if you want to make sure you collect the whole lot though as there are 48 characters available in total.
Inside the pack, you get three little tubes of coloured modelling clay, two sheets of cardboard with eyes, noses, mouths and various accessories to press out and a little booklet packed with instructions on how to create your buddy and information about him. This what what Sophie had in hers.
And here's her finished clay buddy. Very cute !
Next up was Juliette who excitedly unpacked her little sachet.
And here's her finished model. Despite this being their first attempt, I think they both managed to create Clay Buddies that look very similar to the ones in the instruction booklet.
Juliette then decided to customise hers with all the extra press-out accessories and both girls have their creations on display in their rooms. There is also a website - http://www.myclaybuddies.com/ - where kids can upload images and videos of their models to share with the rest of the world.
At £2.99 a pack, they're ideal as stocking stuffers or party bag fillers. There is also a bigger Moshi Monsters Clay Buddies Box Set available for £5.99 which contains 4 features cards, 6 pieces of clay and a cardboard scene which sounds perfect for displaying the models you make.
Juliette likes the fact that you can squish them up and start all over again, whereas Sophie wants to keep hers as it is as a model. Either way, they're both really pleased with their creations and had a lot of fun making them. Not bad for a few quid !
