Last week, I blogged (here) about Heinz's newly relaunched mayonnaise, now made with free range eggs and which also offers a money back guarantee at the moment (until the end of October). Well, in honour of this relaunch, Heinz have come up with a top prize for one of you lucky Madhouse Family Reviews readers : a luxury top-of-the-range picnic basket and a year’s supply of delicious Heinz mayonnaise !
To be in with the chance of winning, just do the following two things :
(1) follow my blog with Google Friends Connect (over on the side bar on the right)
(2) leave me a comment in the comments box telling me about one of the best moments of the summer - maybe it’s a BBQ or family picnic - or, as the summer was a bit of a wash-out, you can share an idea for a delicious summer dish using Heinz mayonnaise instead. Make sure you also leave a way of contacting you (twitter name or email). If I don't hear back from you within a week, I'll have to pick another winner.
Bonus entries :
You can do any or all of the following for bonus entries - just make sure you leave me one comment per entry so that they're all counted !
(1) I love reading your comments so leave me some extra comments on my other blogposts (maximum 5 - other giveaways don't count !) and I'll give you a bonus entry for each one. Just remember to leave me a comment here each time to tell me you've done so.
(2) Follow me on twitter (@cherylp59) and tweet about my comp - this is now dead easy if you click on the tweet button on the right-hand side bar. Feel free to shorten if necessary, or you can make up your own tweet. Make sure you copy in @cherylp59 so I can track this.
(3) Subscribe to my blog by email (near the top of the right-hand sidebar) so that all the new posts pop into your inbox in a handy digest every morning
(4) I've created a facebook page for Madhouse Family Reviews so I'd love for you to become a follower on there too - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Madhouse-Family-Reviews/144910798898626
UK only. Closing date : 5/10/11

I love salad with everything so I use a great dressing by adding 1 tsp of minced shallots to 1 tsp of mayonnaise and 1 tsp Dijon mustard, mix well with a splash of balsamic and whisk in enough olive oil to balance the flavours. Season and dress a big bowl of ripped romaine lettuce leaves. The mayonnaise helps the dressing emulsify and become thicker than normal. Serve with freshly grilled sardines and bread, and good company always helps the flavour of things too! Am with you on GFC.

Best part of the summer had to be our trip to Barmouth Beach. For the last 14 years my trips to the beach have felt like I've been on watch duty, making sure all the kids are alright (4 kids in 4 years does that to you) LOL...
ReplyDeleteBut finally they are all getting older i.e the youngest is 10. & I got to lie on the beach & enjoy the sun (yes it was sunny in Barmouth)! It was pure bliss & I Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.

ReplyDeleteThe highpoint of my summer was at a family picnic when my Dad was bragging to the grandkids that he could stand up from sitting cross legged with no hands. The kids asked him to prove it - he did but promptly fell backwards into a large bush. The kids fell about and are greatly amused that there is a "grandad-shaped" hole in the bush now!

ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite moments of the summer was just playing Hopscotch on the pavement with my kids and a few of their friends, we marked it out in our back garden on the path there& played for hours, we all had such fun, without a computer/mobile insight! Even the older ones really enjoyed it. My little one can now count to ten, which was a bonus I didn't expect. I lost some calories (always a bonus!)& we all had a memorable time, that cost me 57p and that was the chalk from the local shop!
