What's Cooking At The Madhouse? menu plan 9/1/14

I'm using up the odds-and-ends of my globe-cooking boxes and trying out the recipes that I haven't got round to yet. I'll blog about the finished dishes once I've made them.

Saturday

lunch - probably a visit to McDonald's to take advantage of their soft play (then possibly a trip to the sales to use up our shopping vouchers from Christmas) - smoked salmon salad for me

dinner - kale, lentil and bacon soup

Sunday

lunch - roast chicken with rice, veg and gravy

dinner - leftover soup or porridge

Monday

dinner - chicken (& leftovers) curry with rice

Tuesday

dinner - maple-syrup glazed pork chops with rice and butternut squash with marshmallows (sounds strange but I've been told it's lovely !)

Wednesday

lunch - tourtière (Canadian meat pie) with mash, peas and carrots

dinner - spring rolls - maybe pork, chicken or prawn - with Chinese salad

Thursday

dinner - baked potato with veggie burger and beans

Friday

dinner -  Thai curried seafood stew (with salmon and prawn - I'll leave out the squid from the recipe) and noodles

    1. Haven't tried the recipe yet - roast the butternut, mash, top with marshmallows and bake. Sounds weird but who knows ?! Not sure what candied yams are though !

  7. I like the sound of the pork chops - they're on special at Aldi this week and I suspect that's enough inspiration for me to try them.
