Giveaway #628 : Discover the Super Geek Heroes & win a 6 month subscription to KidsCast APP worth £49.99 - closed - winner Leila Benhamida

The SUPER GEEK HEROES are a unique group of animated super-kids whose tagline is having fun in turn with a mission to learn!

Their seven friendly ‘super-powers’ are derived from the three prime and four specific development areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage :
· Personal, Social and Emotional Development - Suzi Smiles
· Understanding the World - Peter Planet
· Communication & Language - Vicky Voice
· Literacy - Jake Jotter
· Numeracy - Mille Maths
· Physical Development - Ant Active
· Creative Arts & Design - Ronnie Rock

I've just sat down and gone through the playlist on the Super Geek Heroes YouTube channel with Pierre and he loved it. The characters are brightly coloured, cute and appealing and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have British rather than American accents (which can be important for young children when learning how to spell or pronounce certain words). Unlike many children's cartoons, which integrate a sneaky hidden element of learning into an exciting adventure or storyline, the Super Geek Heroes focus their clips on learning, making it fun in and by itself, rather than "tricking" your children into learning without realising it. Promoting the idea that learning is enjoyable is a great idea and Pierre really enjoyed watching the videos, learning the names of the continents, singing the rainbow song and telling the time, amongst other things. He did find the constant "shall we do it again?" repetitions off-putting after a while, but I know that this is a useful way of helping little learners to memorise new information and, at age 8, he is possibly slightly older than the intended audience.
