When I was sent a box of Vitano to review, I had no idea what it was. I had a look at the box and discovered it is "Rhodiola rosea root extract 200mg". Ummm I still have absolutely no idea what that is ! The website explains that "Rhodilola rosea is a perennial plant that grows in cold regions including much of the Arctic, the mountains of Central Asia, the Rocky Mountains, and mountainous parts of Europe. It is dioecious, meaning that it has both female and male plants." Very interesting but no help in telling us what the product is !
Luckily, the packaging explains a bit more underneath, explaining that Vitano is "a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with stress, such as fatigue, exhaustion and mild anxiety, based on traditional use only". Ahh that's a bit clearer at least !
The box contains two foil blister packs with a total of 30 film-coated tablets which are round and a rusty-red colour. Luckily they're slightly smaller than Smarties otherwise the kids could easily mistake them for sweets. Adults and the elderly should take one tablet twice daily, swallowed whole 30 minutes before breakfast and lunch with a glass of water.
I have to admit, I haven't been feeling at all stressed, anxious or exhausted lately (despite two parent-teacher evenings that meant I didn't get home until 9pm last week !) so I haven't tried them. However, should I start feeling run down or highly strung, I do love the fact that there is a perfectly natural and traditional remedy that should help alleviate the symptoms without any side effects.
RRP : £12.99 for 30 tablets (with a free stress ball if you buy online !)

Stress and anxiety part of everday, looks a good product, herbal got to be worth a try, 2 tablets a day could be a bit costly.
