What's cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 4/4

A bit of a global mish-mash this week. I want to try out some of the recipes from my new South African Kitchen Trotter box, but I also want to use up the leftover ingredients from previous boxes that are cluttering up the cupboards !

Saturday

lunch - Either a trip to McDonald's or homemade hamburgers and chips with salad

dinner - homemade soup - whatever Madhouse Daddy fancies making but maybe we could test out the Butternut Squash Soup recipe from the South African Kitchen Trotter box. Mexican tomato/bean soup or Vegetable soup are other faves from his recipe repertoire.

Sunday

lunch -  Madhouse Daddy is off doing carnival (last one for this year) so I might have a picnic (indoor or outdoor - not sure yet) with the kids

dinner -  leftover soup for the grown-ups, toasties for the kids or just fridge-grazing, if there are lots of interesting nibbles/leftovers

Monday

dinner - Sophie's parent-teacher evening so we'll need something quick. Spaghetti Carbonara is always good for a quick, foolproof meal.

Tuesday

dinner - maybe Carapulcra again, or something else using up the Peruvian dehydrated potato, if I can find a different recipe to experiment with

Wednesday

lunch - paella, as it didn't get made last week

dinner - salmon and spinach puff-pastry parcels with rice and carrots

Thursday

dinner - Peri Peri Chicken with sweet potato wedges

Friday

dinner - Smoked Sausage & lentil casserole

    1. Kitchen Trotter do a monthly "globe-cooking box" subscription service - I used to use Kitchen Nomad until they stopped.
