For over 100 years, the Ideal Home Show has been bringing ideas and inspiration to generations of British home owners. The show is back for 2012 with more features, more expert advice and more fun for all the family. This time around, British Gas will be introducing you to the ‘smarter home’ on our interactive and striking stand as part of the 103rd Ideal Home Show.
From 16 March to 1 April you’ll be able to come and visit us to find out about all the great new technology coming from British Gas. This includes smart meters (which enable you to track your energy usage in pounds and pence,) remote heating control (a system that allows you to control your home’s heating from a smartphone app or online dashboard,) and even electric vehicle charging points.
We’ll be giving you a fantastic opportunity to get up close to the technology to fully understand the benefits of being in control of your energy and your home, helping you have a more efficient and smarter household.
The focal point of our stand will be a screening room where you can sit down, relax and find out about the products on offer by watching a few short videos. We’ll also have celebrity guest speakers (including Mark Goodier, Duncan Goodyew, Jon Tickle, Robert Llewellyn and Dawn Porter) and members of the British Gas leadership team giving talks on smart metering, new technology and energy saving.
Not only will you be able to have an exclusive look at some great pieces of technology, you’ll also have an opportunity to enter competitions to win a holiday to Cornwall and an iPad!
It’s sure to be a star-studded event that should be great fun for all the family.
We hope to see you there - find us on stand 1M71!

I went to the Ideal Home Show for the first (and so far only) time a couple of years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to anyone who's never been.
