This week's #SaveSummer activity was designed as a fallback plan in case of rain, but it ended up being a great way to finish off a busy day running around outside and getting tired out ! ASDA provided us with a selection of great kid-friendly DVDs - Tarzan, Yogi Bear, The Muppets and Horrid Henry The Movie - and invited us to have a Onesie Marathon !
They even provided the popcorn - with a choice of sweet, salted or toffee (my favourite - yum!) - and some fab colouring sheets for cutting out and making homemade popcorn cartons. (You can download all the sheets you need for these activities from the #SaveSummer website.)
The instructions told us to bring down everything from our beds - pillows, quilts, sheets, soft toys, any pets ... Well, the only thing we left were the sheets !
Time to chill out on the settee with a carton of popcorn and a fun family movie. We watched Horrid Henry The Movie which had the kids giggling all the way through (except for Pierre who fell asleep halfway through - shhhh !).
There are already various activities on the #SaveSummer website, with plenty more being made available as the summer progresses so call back often for more summer fun inspiration !
