New Product Launch : "Popin" 2-in-1 handbag/baby sleeping bag

Any parent will know how hard it is, especially with a newborn, to go out for even the simplest of trips without carting around huge amounts of equipment. I have come to love anything that is 2 (or more)-in-1, not only because they save space but also money when they double up. I therefore read with interest this press release for an innovative handbag that doubles up as a baby's sleeping bag ! I loved the Baby and All changing bag with hidden baby carrier that we reviewed here and this looks similarly clever. Read on for more information :

A completely original and innovative design 'Popin' which reached the semi- finals of the popular Rattles to Riches competition held by the Baby Show for Trade, Olympia, London.

It is designed as a fun and fashionable handbag, which opens into a sleeping bag to pop baby in at the end of the day. It's perfect for Mums on the Move, either when travelling or if the afternoon turns into an evening out with friends.

Inside the Popin there is a smaller bag that fits all the included accessories; burp cloth which is large enough to double up as a changing mat, a super soft comforter and a bibette.

There is also plenty of room for baby wipes, baby's bottle etc.

We have designed the Popin in two different types of fabric with a variety of colour ways. The Wellsoft Popin comes in beautifully rich colours with a soft jersey top and the printed cotton Popins has a soft towelling lining and corresponding jersey top.

All Popins have a safety zip at the foot of the bag for easy nappy changing, plus poppers on the shoulders and sides for a perfect fit.

Carol from PHP, on the panel at the semi-finals at Earls Court described Popin as "A brilliant idea, fantastic product and wonderful quality".

Sarah and Oya will be delighted to show you their new product Popin at the Baby Expo Show Brighton on 13th November 2011.

The tog rating for Popin is 2-3.5, room temperature 10-20 degrees Celsius.

Size: 0-6 months, not suitable for babies under 4kg.

It conforms to BS 8510.

Patent license: Sarah Sherrington Designs and Mumotex Int. Ltd.

  1. I'm not sure I really get this idea. I mean, it is very clever but won't the bag get dirty being used to carry your stuff around and being bashed about all day? I think I would need to have a look at one to suss it out properly!
