You can't have Christmas without a jar of cranberry sauce. It's lovely on the side of the plate with the roast turkey and is an absolute essential to zing up sandwiches using the leftover turkey on Boxing Day. Ocean Spray kindly sent me through two jars of their cranberry sauce, one smooth and one with whole fruit (my favourite), along with a bag of Craisins. This made us smile because Pierre always mistakenly calls dried cranberries raisins so when he saw the name on the bag, he declared, "See ? I was right ! They are raisins" !
We love dried cranberries here at The Madhouse - they're great for adding a sweet and tangy sharpness to both sweet and savoury recipes - so I was intrigued to learn that Craisins come in Original (which we received) but also infused in pomegranate or blueberry juice or even covered in chocolate or Greek yogurt. I think I may have to investigate those ones next time we go shopping !

Make sure you buy an extra bag though because, if your kids are anything like mine, just as many of the dried cranberries will end up surreptitiously crammed in their mouths as in the recipe they were intended for !
