Giveaway #92 : 2 x SmartLink Smoke Alarm Twin Packs - closed - winners @kooky_kate @caroleheidi

Get with the system this National Child Safety Week.

As natural born explorers, it’s common for children to be drawn to the warmth and heat of fire, which is why it’s important to talk them through the dangers of fire and what to do if there is one. To celebrate this year’s National Child Safety Week which runs from 20th-26th June, Ei Electronics, UK market leader in domestic fire safety products, will be giving away 2 digital, wireless free smoke alarm twin packs from its new SmartLink range, the latest innovation in smoke alarm technology.

As a parent, our biggest job is to protect our children from the big wide world but what about the dangers lurking closer to home?

Domestic fires pose one of the greatest risks to children, accounting for 46% of all fatal accidents. With the 0-4 age group being the most at risk from fire, what can you do to keep your little one safe?

Ei Electronics offers some fire safety measures:

Never leave children alone in a room where there is risk of fire.

Keep matches, lighters and candles out of sight.

Put a child proof fireguard in front of an open fire or heater.

Never let children play or leave toys near a fire or heater.

Never leave children alone in the kitchen whilst you are cooking and never let them play with the cooker.

Make sure all electrical appliances are switched off when they are not in use.

Particularly vulnerable in a fire, children may run and ride rather than try to escape so always make sure your child has clear instructions on how to react – there may not always be an adult on hand!

It can take just a few minutes for a fire to take a grip so early warning is vital. The revolutionary new SmartLink smoke alarm system from Ei Electronics offers maximum protection with minimum effort. Using digital wire free technology free technology, the SmartLink system allows all alarms in the system to ‘talk’ to each other – when one sounds, they all sound, offering an instant alert.

Depending on budget or the size of your home, the amount of SmartLink Fire alarms you choose to include is up to you. Its unique house coding system not only prevents interference from neighbouring alarms but also allows you to add on any additional alarms (up to 12) as time goes by; just simply push the code button.

The SmartLink System from Ei Electronics leads the way in modern technology for fire safety in the home, giving household occupants the quickest early warning and valuable chance to escape the dangers of fire.

This sounds like a great product and we could really do with this as our fire alarm is useless! - Every time it comes on (and it comes on often for no reason) it is so shrill and deafening that I worry about our ten month old baby's hearing.
