ReplyDeleteThere has always been dogs in my life. Labs, German Shepherds and now Malamutes. My best friend growing up was a GSD called Beauty.

ReplyDeleteI didn't have one but my nan did who lived two doors away, his name was Scruffy. I remember one day my nan saying he was poorly and she took him to the vets, when she came back she didn't have Scruffy - I asked where he was and she said the vet loved him so much he asked if he could keep him and she agreed because he had a bigger garden than my nan. I believed her for years but as I got older it became obvious what had happened. Poor Scruffy.

ReplyDeleteI had a golden lab as a teenager. When I left home to go to teacher training college she was the one I missed the most. She lived for 17 years and died many years ago but I still miss her :)

I had two at the same time, as we lived in a country abroad with a huge, massive garden. We had a beautiful long-haired German Shepherd, called Shula and a black labrador called Tara.
