May the force be with you ! - Limited edition Star Wars Duracell review

You've undobtedly all heard of the Duracell Bunny but what about the Duracell Jedi ?! To celebrate the hotly-anticipated upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Duracell have issued a series of limited edition battery packs featuring characters from the movies. There are a lovely mixture of old favourites and new characters across the range.

Whether you first encountered the original Star Wars at age 15 or were ‘awakened’ to the franchise in 2015, one thing's for sure - no one can resist the allure of a lightsaber ! Duracell is the battery of choice for the newly issued Hasbro lightsaber, which is sure to be one of the hottest gifts this Christmas, so make sure Santa doesn't forget to stock up on batteries to keep everyone smiling on Christmas morning. In fact, any grown-up Star Wars fans would surely love to find the special limited edition packs in their stockings and be quite happy to forgo the rest of the presents !

On the 8 x AAA battery pack, you'll find new droid BB-8.

The four-packs feature some of the more sinister-looking characters - the newest member of the dark side Kylo Ren and a Stormtrooper.

I always used to love Chewbacca, who is on the 12 x AA pack.

But my ultimate fave was always C-3PO, along with his sidekick R2D2, who both have pride of place on the 8 x AA pack.

Duracell have one more treat up their sleeves for Star Wars fans - a Christmas advert that ties in with the film's release. You can have a sneaky peek here !

So what do you think? Are you a Star Wars fan? Will you be going to see the new film or does sci-fi have you rolling your eyes ?!

Disclosure : We received the products in order to write an honest review.

  1. Haven't seen this edition yet, we are buying batteries all the time for new toys. I'm sure we'll buy Star wars themed ones too

  2. I'm not sure if they've hit the shelves yet but if they haven't, it won't be long !

  3. I will be going to see the film and looking out for these new packs.
