Yellowmellon Kids Clothing review

Recently, Yellowmellon got in touch to ask if I'd like to review some children's clothes from their collection. I clicked through to discover the website (noticing immediately that you get a 10% discount if you like them on facebook and that there's free shipping on UK orders over £40) and learnt that they cater for babies and children from newborns to 13-year-olds. Eek, decisions decisions ! In the end, to avoid being accused of favouritism, I told them I had three kids aged 3, 7 and 11 and that they could choose which one to send for. They kindly got back to me to say they'd send something for all three of them !

I had a quick look at the company description, as it was a brand I'd never heard of before. They say: "Unbelievable prices, great quality,  ethically sourced merchandise. For much of our stock, we manage the complete end-to-end process, from design and manufacture, until the products leave our store. This means we can supply quality clothing at our best possible prices. We also strive to ensure that all our products are ethically sourced, including those that originate from overseas." Sounds good.

Here's the lovely selection they sent through. For the girls, they dipped into their celeb-inspired animal collection. On the left is a Minx Quality Leopard Print Girls Long Top for Juliette in age 7/8 (but it's available from age 5/6 to 13). It's perfect partywear for the Christmas season, combining comfort and elegance and has a very reasonable £10 price tag.

In the middle is the one that I would have pinched if it had been my size (!), a gorgeous Leopard Print Baggy Top which again looks stylish but is totally wearable. It looks great teamed with leggings, jeans or a skirt with opaque tights and the ties on the sides are a great finishing touch. This one is even cheaper costing only £6.99 but they seem to have sold out of the larger sizes now - it's currently only available for ages 2/3 - 5/6.

Speaking of smaller sizes, they got Pierre's tastes absolutely spot on (although I guess the fact that he is a typical 3-year-old boy helps !). He received some fabulous, vibrantly-coloured Spiderman pyjamas - right up his street, which are available for little fans from age 3/4 right up to 9/10. The price is a very reasonable £8.99.

I was already impressed with the prices but even better news is that they have a pre-Christmas discount code available - enter code CHRYM at the checkout before 30th November and you'll get 20% off. Want even more good news ? I'll have a giveaway coming up in a second so watch this space !
