If you have an iPad, and above all if you have an iPad and kids, you definitely need an iPad case. Despite constant nagging, the iPad here at The Madhouse is frequently left on the settee where the dogs can jump up on to the screen and scratch it. If you travel with your iPad, it's also really important to get a protective case to save it from being damaged. We bought a case for our iPad2 almost immediately but it's been so well used that it's been looking very battered and scuffed lately so when the opportunity came up with Fuel My Blog to design and review a new case from Ideal Cases, I couldn't wait to see what they had on offer.
Basically, the answer to that question is, whatever you can come up with, they'll have. You can choose between clip on cases in black or white or a faux leather folder style case, which is what I opted for, because it protects the screen of the iPad, as well as offering medium drop protection. This system also means you can stand it up, which is good if you want to watch a video on the iPad or share a storybook app with the kids.
Personalising the case is great fun because you can be as creative as you like. If you're in a rush or lacking inspiration, you can choose one of their pre-designed cases. If you have a clear idea of what you want, you can start with a totally blank canvas and style it however you want. I decided to go somewhere in the middle and use one of their templates, adding a selection of favourite Madhouse family pics for a really personal design.
Before it was even out of the packaging, everyone was squealing in delight at how good it looked. This would be a great gift, maybe for Valentine's day or mothers'/fathers' day because you can create a really special keepsake.
We created a case for our iPad2 but they have cases for everything from iPhones, Blackberries and Kindles to Galaxy tablets and iPad Minis - I may have to go back and order some more cases actually, after being lucky enough to win not one but two iPad minis over the last month !
The whole ordering process was quick and painless and the finished item was delivered very swiftly, with numerous emails keeping us informed of what was happening with our order. I was very impressed with the whole process, as well as the finished article.
star rating : 5/5
