Oriflame Baby review

When I was emailed recently by Swedish natural beauty company Oriflame, I have to admit I was surprised to learn that they had a range of babycare products. They have actually relaunched their baby skin care line with five new products containing Organic Cotton Extract to offer better protection and care for babies’ skin at every phase of growth. The whole product line is paediatrician approved and has been developed to cleanse, soothe and moisturise babies’ delicate skin with ingredients that are guaranteed mild and gentle.

Cotton Extract has been shown to help skin replenish its outer layer and to condition sensitive and delicate skin. It is rich in omega fatty acids, which are crucial to healthy skin.

We received three products to try out, the Baby Moisturising Cream, Baby Talc and Baby Hair & Body Wash.

The  Baby Moisturising Cream comes in a handy pump-dispenser and it doesn't drip so it is totally mess-free. It is also simple to use one-handed, allowing you to keep one hand on your wriggly baby at all times on the changing table. It smells absolutely gorgeous - lightly floral with a fresh laundry smell - and rubs into skin easily, leaving no greasy residue at all. Any excess doubles up as a lovely hand cream. In fact, I think I'll be using this as an all-over body moisturiser after my shower because it smells too lovely to be reserved for the kids !

The Baby Talc feels lovely and silky smooth - be warned that the first time you use it, you need to pierce holes in the foil seal under lid though. I didn't have anything suitable in the bathroom so had to go without the first time I wanted to use it !

And finally, the Baby Hair & Body Wash. It's a lovely mild product that lathers up nicely for fine baby hair (but probably wouldn't be moisturising enough for older kids' or adults' hair) and is great for washing with a sponge in the shower or running under the taps in the bath. It also has a tear-free formula guaranteed to be gentle on babies’ eyes and skin which is a huge bonus when it comes to washing toddlers' hair.

The three products that we tested were launched on 16th February and will be joined by a Baby Soap Bar (RRP £1.85) and a Baby Oil (RRP £4.95) on the 16th March.

Oriflame Baby can be purchased in the UK from via www.oriflamestore.co.uk or through Oriflame’s nationwide network of Consultants. To find your nearest consultant visit www.oriflame.co.uk. Until 15 March, a 30% discount will apply to any of these products.

Disclosure : I received the three products in order to write an honest review.

  1. Thought that these products were great quality, I didn't use the talc as we don't use talc, but we did use the hair and body wash and the lotion. First impression was loved the smell of both products and they both did their jobs well, and after several weeks use my little girl has lovely skin. Would definitely recommend even though they are a little on the expensive side.
