Sunday weigh-in : Has my elastic gone?!



I've just jumped on the scales and I've lost 100g this week. That's basically a no-change but last week, if you remember, I thought that this week was going to be catastrophic, what with Juliette's birthday and Pierre's Mardi Gras parade (think lots of pancakes), so I was aiming for a no change or a small loss. Mission accomplished !

This coming week is half term so it could be a danger zone as I'll be home and will have permanent access to biscuits and sweets, whereas at work I don't. But it will also mean that I'll have time to do my fitness DVD and get out and about walking with the kids. Did you see my blogpost about fun fitness guides using your kids' scooter? I might have a go at that too !!

Positive points of the week :

- My pyjama trousers keep falling down. My initial reaction was "oops, I think the elastic's gone" but then I remembered that this is something that happens on the SlimPod. Especially as my jeans were slipping down a bit too.

- I'm just about to head off to the Sunday market at the end of our road and ask my friendly fruit and veg man if he'll sort out a weekly veg box for me. It's something that doesn't really exist here so I'm hoping he'll say yes because it will be a great way of making sure we have a ready supply of fruit and veg in the house, as well as hopefully trying out some new things that I never usually buy.

- I'm still menu planning and finding it a good way of avoiding falling back on unhealthy ready meal options when I don't know what to cook. I try to come up with healthy options as I'm menu planning, and when I look at what is on the cards for the next day, I try to think of ways of sneaking in extra healthiness, such as a side salad or replacing bacon by ham, so it's an ever lighter option.

This week's target 

Get some more exercise into my week now that I'm on holiday and increase my loss to at least 1/2kg, because the last few weeks have been teeny tiny baby steps.

TARGET WEIGHT : 66kg
WEIGHT LAST WEEK  : 78.9kg
WEIGHT TODAY : 78.8g
WEIGHT LOST SO FAR :  13.1kg
STILL TO GO : 12.8kg
CHANGE THIS WEEK : -0.1kg

  1. Well done on your loss! Love the fruit and veg box idea - I really do need to give it a go myself as we are going through so much now - in fact I think we will be turning green soon! Good luck for the next week x
