My March #walk1000miles update

Well, it's been exactly one month since I rather rashly pledged to walk 1000 miles by the end of the year ! I haven't actually been tracking my steps/distances much lately, but luckily my Fitbug Orb does it all for me so I've just been to have a look and see how I'm getting on.

March

Mon 2 - 10,349 steps / 7km
Tues 3 - 8,772 steps / 6km
Wed 4 - 8,528 steps / 6km
Thurs 5 - 14,519 steps / 10km

Sat 7 - 7,303 steps / 5km
Sun 8 - 7,151 steps / 5km
Mon 9 - 13,823 steps / 9km
Tues 10 - 10,704 steps / 7km

Sun 15 to Thurs 19 - no data
Fri 20 - 12,774 steps / 9km
Sat 21 - 10,608 steps / 7km
Sun 22 - 12,300 steps / 8km
Mon 23 - 13,181,steps / 9km
Tues 24 - 11,919 steps / 8km
Wed 25 - 13,405 steps / 9km
Thurs 26 - 10,090 steps / 7km
Fri 27 - 11,371 steps / 8km
Sat 28 - 8,109 steps / 5km
Sun 29 - 6,464 steps / 4km
Mon 30 - 12,960 steps / 9km
Tues 31 - 10,706 steps / 7km

So even with five days where no data was logged for some reason, in March I managed to rack up ... 294397 steps / 198 km which converts into 123 miles. That's pretty good going, especially as this is pretty much just my normal day-to-day walking - one of the perks of not driving !

April is off to a good start too :

Wed 1 - 11,657 steps / 8km
Thur 2 - 10,377 steps / 7km
Fri 3 - 12,499 steps / 8km (Wii Fit 2km run)
Sat 4 - 8,712 steps / 6km
Sun 5 - 21,484 steps / 14km (big geocaching walk wih the kids)

A bit of hunting around on my Fitbug dashbard should allow me to find the figures for January and February too but for the moment, my ticker is showing the distance covered just for March

  2. When I made myself walk to & fro from school every drop off & pick up I lost quite a bit of weight & got fit so walking does work. Well done & keep going.
