What's cooking at The Madhouse? menu plan 2/5/14

It's been lovely to be on holiday for the past two weeks (and you can tell we've been busy having fun because my menu planning is a day late !) but it's back to life, back to reality next week - although we do get a rather lovely bank holiday on Thursday to break the week up nicely ! :) I did lots of cooking over the past two weeks but didn't actually get to clear out my food cupboards as I'd planned, so this week will be a mission to use up the jars and sachets lurking at the back of the cupboard.

Saturday

lunch - pan-baked chicken (using So Juicy cooking sheets) with dauphinois potatoes and ratatouille

dinner - carapulcra (to use up the half pack of Peruvian dehydrated potato)

Sunday

lunch -  roast dinner or bbq, depending on the weather

dinner -  soup - I have some sweet potatoes, I wonder if you can make sweet potato soup ?

Monday

dinner - Smoky Jerk Chicken (with a jar of Levi Roots sauce) with added peppers/onions and rice

Tuesday

dinner - something pasta-based involving an Italian Creamy Herb Tagliatelli Flavour Shot

Wednesday

lunch - sweet & sour pork with egg noodles and stir fried veg

dinner - chicken tikka masala with rice (crispy crumbed chicken with rice for the kids)

Thursday

lunch - fajitas (I have a jar of sauce - usually I use the seasoning sachets so it'll be interesting to see how they compare) with the usual suspects on the side : sweetcorn, tomato salsa, guacamole, salad, rice, sour cream ...

dinner - marinaded chicken thighs with Mediterranean vegetables (using two different seasoning sachets)

Friday

dinner - tomato, courgette and potato casserole (with bacon, onions, mushrooms in with the tomatoes)
