Beatrix New York Tablet Case review

When the opportunity arose to review a new ipad case, we jumped at the chance. Having two mini ipads in the house, it's important to be able to distinguish between the two to avoid wasting time when trying to access a specific app which is only installed on one. It also avoids the Madhouse Mini-testers having "Hey, that's my ipad."-"No it's not, yours is the other one" squabbles on a daily basis ! They also offer protection and, above all, look incredibly cute.

We had the choice of designs from the range, by Beatrix New York. On the back of the case, they have their cute logo as well as space to write your name and telephone number.

The Madhouse Mini-testers had selected the ladybird design as their favourite but we didn't pay attention to its name so we all laughed when it arrived. It's called Juju - that's what we call Juliette !

Unlike the rigid, folding ipad cases that we've tried up until now, this one is a soft zip-up case that you slide your tablet into. You could therefore use it for whatever you like - ipad, ipad mini, Kindle, kids' Leappad-type tablets ... You can even fit extras in there - phone, DS Lite and games cartridges, bus card ... just be careful that there's nothing that could scratch the screen of your tablet though.

All three of the Madhouse Mini-testers (aged 4, 8 and 12) absolutely love the design, but I think they'd also appeal to adults. The other designs available are :

Dinosaur

Owl

and Robot.

If you're looking for Christmas gift ideas for gadget-loving teens and tweens, these are ideal.
