Slim.Fast have recently launched a new Mocha flavoured shake and they sent me through one, along with a selection of their products, to try out. As well as the Mocha shake, I also got to sample Summer Strawberry and Blissful Banana flavour shakes. The ready-to-drink bottles are really thick and sweet and surprisingly filling so they're ideal if you know you won't have time to stop for lunch or if you're travelling. The iconic tubs of powdered shakes still exist too and they have more flavours than the last time I looked - as well as Summer Strawberry, we received a tub of Caramel Temptation, which sounds lovely. Whichever format you choose, one shake contains 230 calories.
I also got a lovely selection of their chocolatey snacks : Heavenly Chocolate Delight, Chocolate Nutty Nougat and Chocolate Caramel Treat, all of which are delicious and only contain 95 calories each.
What most impressed me though were the savoury snacks that come in handy individual serving packs that are also calorie-controlled, providing 95 calories like the chocolate bars. The 3-2-1 Plan has been designed to be extremely easy and convenient. You just select 3 snacks, 2 Slim.Fast meals, shakes or bars and one sensible 600 cal meal per day to cover your daily dietary requirements.
Our absolute fave were the Sour Cream & Chive Flavour Pretzels which are light and crunchy with a fabulous flavour. I had to fight the kids off these ones !
The Cheddar Flavour Bites are also delicious and remind me of mini Tuc biscuits. Each of these photos shows the contents of one pack so you get quite a lot in each serving.
And finally the BBQ Flavour Tortillas. These were very nice with a satisfying crunch and lovely light texture but the flavour was surprisingly sweet, whereas I'd have preferred more of a chilli kick.
If you want some guilt-free snacks to ward off the mid-afternoon munchies or handy low-cal lunchbox treats, they're perfect.
