RC Cola have been on a bit of a mission to improve the state of the nation's relationships and encourage couples to rekindle their romance, finding a bit of "us-time" on a special Date Night. They ran a campaign over the summer where one lucky winner won an amazing trip to New York - I'm jealous !
They sent us through a copy of the Ultimate Guide to Date Night which is packed full of tips and ideas for getting all loved up. Did you know that, according to their poll, the top five things needed for a romantic night in are peace and quiet, a personal touch, the right mood, nice food and a nice drink?
They also give a countdown of the nation's favourite date night movies : Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, Sleepless in Seattle, Romeo & Juliette, Ghost, The Note Book, Love Actually, Star Wars, Pretty Woman, Lord of the Rings. Star Wars and Lord of the Rings ?! How did they get on there ?!
They even included some delicious-sounding and unusual recipes to try out which caught my eye : Salmon Sea Trout with Diet RC Cola Ginger Glaze and Garlicky Greens; Spiced Donuts with RC Cherries Jubilee and Orange Chantilly; all washed down with a Royal Crown Cocktail.
They also sent us through some goodies for our own perfect date night - a copy of Top Gun (which is one of Madhouse Daddy's all-time favourite films !), some popcorn and some RC Cola. Now, we just have to wait until the Madhouse kids are in bed !
