Sooty has always had a special place in my heart. As a child of the 70's, I was a fan of the original version of the show (well, my parents were fans of the original original series - Sooty's been around for 65 years now!), then my little sister (who is now not quite so little - she's 21 !) used to watch the newer version over and over and over again so I'm still pretty much word perfect on all the songs. Carba-carba-cabbage has become a bit of a catchphrase whenever anyone mentions spaghetti carbonara, but I'm sure anyone who never saw that episode wouldn't have a clue why !
A brand new Sooty DVD will be released on 20th May. In this DVD - The Children's Party - it is the grand opening of Slater's Children's Club and Sooty, Sweep and Soo are helping Richard organise a party. Once the children arrive it soon becomes clear that it s not going to be easy to keep them entertained. Sooty decides to play musical statues, but Sweep succeeds in messing everything up. Will Mr Slater be happy or will Richard lose his job?
Abbey Home Media Group have kindly offered three copies of Sooty : The Children's Party on DVD for three lucky Madhouse Family Reviews readers.
T & C's : Entries close at midnight on the closing date. Winners will be selected with a random number generator and announced on facebook, twitter and in the giveaway post subject line.
